Around this time each year is an equally exhilarating, insane, and exciting season for a lot of us, but I would say especially for those who are graduating seniors!! (I would know, I myself am one and it has been one crazy year!)

As a recent high school graduate, I received some of the best wisdom and advice from many wonderful friends, wisdom and advice I thought I would share with you too.

So no matter what next season of life you’re going into – whether you’re graduating high school, getting a new job, going on a mission trip, etc. – or even if you’re in the middle of what was a previous year’s next season, I hope these notes encourage you as much as they encourage me!!

May God bless you in your college life! I’m gonna miss you! I am glad you are following Him so closely. Never lose faith, not matter how hard it gets. He will hold you up. Cast your burdens on Him – giving things to Him is so much easier!

Soak it all in! Make cherished friends, go on mission trips, work at a camp … find a good church with some old people. 😊 Seek Jesus every step of the way!

I hope you will drink in the rich variety of relationships that will surround you in college – both with your peers and your many professors. God uses people by His Spirit to shape us and call out things in us – encouraging us to our full potential. May they continually point you to God and His Word in new ways. Enjoy and have fun!

First of all, we are so proud of you! Second, we are always on your team. Third, the Lord has your race laid out from the beginning of time. All you gotta do is keep your eyes on Him! We’re here to cheer you on!

SMILE!!!! BE HAPPY! Eat more salad than chocolate … but still eat chocolate 😊 I love you!

My best advice for you is to trust in the Lord in all you do and He will guide you and always be there for you!

Progress, not perfection! Growth is not the goal, Jesus is. Keep your eyes on Him, progress in your dependence, and He will take care of the rest!

And last but certainly not least,

“Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you.” – Matthew 6:33.
